The Department of African Studies organised an International lecture series on "Empowering the Afro-Indian: A conversation with the Padma Shri Hirbaiben Ibrahim Lobi" on 17th November 2023. The key note speaker for the event was Padma Shree Hirabaiben Ibrahim Lobi, President Adivasi Mahila Sangh, Gir Somnath Gujrat. The lecture was attended by the students of Masters, M.phil and Ph.D. The event was organised under the able guidance of the Head of the Department, Dr.Gajendra Singh and the convenors, Dr.Rashmi Kapoor, Dr. Sandipani Dash and Dr. Manish Karamwar.
